Great Achievement: At just 23 years old, sisters Sushma and Sushmita Paudel, biotechnology graduates from Himalayan WhiteHouse International College, Putalisadak, founded Ecorevive Research & Innovation to transform Nepal’s underutilized indigenous herbs into biotechnology-based personal care products. Through their brand Dear Care Nepal, they develop products using Himalayan botanicals such as reetha, chiuri, flaxseed, dhatello, and jatamansi. They also collaborate with local communities, including women’s groups and the Chepang community, through FAO Nepal’s Forest and Farm Facility (FFF) program to promote sustainable harvesting, value addition, and livelihood opportunities. Their research-driven innovation has earned recognition through several national and international entrepreneurship programs, and they are now working to take Nepal’s indigenous botanical resources to both national and international markets.
